Danfoss Icon2™ App - Privacy Policy

Danfoss Icon2™ App (hereinafter the Application) is intended to be used by installers to install, commissioning, reconfigure and debugging Danfoss Icon2™ system.

This Danfoss Icon2™ App – Privacy Policy is used to inform visitors about our policies concerning the collection, use, and disclosure (“processing”) of personal data if anyone decided to use our application.

If you choose to use our application, then you agree to the processing of data in relation to this policy. We will not process your data with anyone except as described in this Danfoss Icon2™ App - Privacy Policy.

Location data

The Application communicates with Danfoss Icon2™ Main Controller using Bluetooth Low Energy (hereafter BLE). If you have Android OS version 6.0 to 11 then Location must be enabled on your phone to use BLE. You must select ‘Allow all the time’ for Location because the Application must be able to run in the background – for example during firmware update. The Application is not collecting any Location data.

Use of personal data

The Application provides the possibility to enter personal data, save them in Danfoss Icon2™ system and sharing these personal data with others outside of Danfoss control. Please see list of examples which might not cover all possibilities:

-  Installation Report: When you create the installation report, you can enter installation address and installer name. Installation Report is usually made by the installer and shared with installation owner. The Installation Report is saved on Danfoss Icon2™ Main Controller.

-  MC-logs: It is possible to retrieve log data from Danfoss Icon2™ Main Controller using the Application. With this log data Danfoss can perform better root cause analysis in case of issues. By default, this log data should not contain personal data.

Danfoss is not processing personal data through our IT system, Cloud, etc. All personal data from the Application is stored locally on the mobile device or the Danfoss Icon2™ Main Controller.
