Specially designed for CO2/water transcritical systems, this state-of-the-art brazed heat exchanger (model H48T-CH) meet the demanding requirements for heat recovery systems in supermarkets and hypermarkets. With the unique Micro Plate™ technology, the heat exchanger pushes the boundaries of thermal performance and makes it an unmatched and reliable heat exchanger in a CO2 system. A lightweight and compact design without a reinforced frame ensures easy installation and allows for more compact CO2 systems.
Revolutionary Micro Plate™ technology
Danfoss’ Micro Plate™ technology is setting new standards in energy efficiency. Significantly improved heat transfer, reduced use of raw materials and minimal hold-up volumes bring clear economic and environmental savings. In addition, the unique Micro Plate™ pattern makes the heat exchanger more robust. In a direct comparison with a traditional brazed plate heat exchanger (fishbone/chevron plate design) the differences are stunning.

CO₂ is a highly suitable refrigerant for heat reclaim. By closely aligning heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, you save money, safeguard stock, and reduce your environmental impact.
The Danfoss Heat Recovery Unit (HRU) helps to eliminate the technical challenges of managing heat recovery. The HRU is an integrated solution managing and buffering the heat from the refrigeration pack – to be reused for space heating, hot tap water, or even old to neighbors or district heating grids.

CTR 3-way heat reclaim valve is designed to allow full proportional control of the surplus heat from compressor pack into the heat exchanger of transcritical heat reclaim solutions, securing availability of heat and hot water. The CTR valve prevents pressure peaks eliminating costly system down-time and the risk of insufficient heat supply for store heating and hot water, regardless of installation size.
