Danfoss focuses on driving change and embracing new opportunities with “Transition forward” exhibition at ISH 2025

Wednesday, February 12, 2025

Danfoss is pleased to announce our participation at ISH 2025, taking place from March 17-21 in Frankfurt, Germany. Under the exhibition theme, “Transition forward”, the Danfoss team will showcase a broad range of energy-efficient solutions to support the multiple transitions impacting the HVAC sector.

Our customers are dealing with change on several fronts. Much of this is driven by legislation, such as the European Union’s Energy Efficiency Directive. With ‘Transition forward’, we will focus on how our customers can use readily available technology, products and solutions to prepare their businesses for a carbon-neutral future today

Visitors can find us in Hall 9.1, Booth C06.

Simplifying heating with smart solutions

Danfoss experts will demonstrate how Danfoss Ally™ and Icon2™ can transform multi-zone heating systems and showcase their seamless integration, ease of installation and energy-saving potential – all controlled from the Ally™ App, the ideal choice for prefab home builders and owners.

In addition to featuring our full line of mechanical thermostats and radiator valves, our booth will also introduce the new Mio™ M30 valve.

Decarbonizing buildings and industrial systems with heat pumps

Buildings account for 28% of all global energy-related CO2 emissions. To meet our carbon neutrality targets, we need to make our buildings more energy efficient. At the Danfoss ISH booth, visitors will see our extensive heating and cooling portfolio and AI-based services that are designed to improve energy efficiency in buildings.

Industrial Heat Pumps play a critical role in decarbonizing industries such as Food & Beverage and Chemicals. These industries require steam for various processes such as drying, sterilization and boiling. Danfoss offers compressors, components and controls capable of achieving elevated temperatures, and booth visitors will see how these technologies help meet the demand for high-temperature industrial heating systems.

Heat pump manufacturers will discover our end-to-end knowledge and our extensive portfolio – including compressors, heat exchangers, valves, smart controls and sensors, all compatible with low-GWP and natural refrigerants – which they can use to design efficient heat pumps, reducing sourcing complexity and accelerating time-to-market.

Optimizing energy with AI and dynamic balancing

Much of the legislation driving decarbonization of buildings focuses on monitoring and improving technical buildings systems and energy distribution throughout the building. At ISH, we’ll present our full range of products for improving energy efficiency in multi-family residential and commercial buildings through automation and control. Danfoss representatives will also demonstrate how our dynamic balancing solutions can maximize a building’s efficiency by creating a precisely tuned hydronic system.

Booth visitors will also see the prefabricated AB-QM 4.0 Flexo connection sets for FCUs and radiant panels in four-pipe heating/cooling systems. Featuring the digital actuator NovoCon® S and the new modulating actuator AME 110NL/X, the system is controlled by the Alsmart CX06 universal programmable controller, with data visualized on the AS-UI04 display. Together, these components ensure a perfectly balanced and controlled hydronic solution, maximizing building efficiency.

Meeting decarbonization goals with microgrids

In the District Energy Network section of our booth, Danfoss experts will explain how municipalities can stay ahead of evolving EU planning regulations and support their city’s decarbonization goals. While many might view district energy as a solution only for large urban areas, we will show how Danfoss district heating enables the creation of microgrids that bring cost savings, sustainability and digital efficiency to smaller towns. They’ll demonstrate how Danfoss supports customers in all phases of a project – from ensuring a reliable heat supply to adhering to cyber security requirements – with end-to-end expertise from planning to operations.

Our solutions support harnessing local, renewable energy sources with our substations, components, and Leanheat® software suite to optimize performance, reduce costs and comply with GDPR. Conference attendees will also see the Danfoss weather compensation tool, an integrated part of Leanheat® Monitor. This tool enables heating and cooling systems to precisely adapt to current weather conditions in the area, thus optimizing the system’s energy efficiency. This guarantees consistent indoor comfort, more efficient energy consumption and leads to an average monthly savings of up to 7%

Unlocking the potential of excess heat

Excess heat in the EU equals nearly its total energy demand for heating and hot water, yet it remains underutilized. We’re turning this untapped resource into a driver for decarbonization by integrating waste heat from data centers, supermarkets and hospitals into district energy networks. Booth visitors will be able to see real-world examples of how harnessing waste heat can create sustainable heating and cooling systems, such as in Sønderborg Hospital in Denmark, where the hospital expects to reduce the amount of energy it purchases by 28,300 MWh each year.

Danfoss will also present durable JIP® ball valves with optimized flow for energy savings and CO2 reduction, versatile VXe SLS villa substations featuring our new advanced AVQML pressure independent control valves, Termix Compact 28VX-FI PS and DSE1 MIDI district heating substations, and Virtus digitizable heavy-duty pressure and flow controllers for efficient hydronic balancing in heating and cooling networks.
