Monterrey, Mexico: Danfoss, the global industrial Danish-based group, is further strengthening its commitment to be a strong partner for its customers in Mexico and the Americas.
With its new production facilities for scroll and reciprocating compressors, sensors, and heat exchangers, the group responds to fast-growing market trends such as energy efficiency in cooling, electrification of heating, and the refrigerant transition. The expansion of the current production site by 40,000 m² is part of the Danfoss Monterrey Campus.
Kim Fausing, Danfoss President and CEO; Jürgen Fischer, President, Danfoss Climate Solutions; and Astrid Mozes, President of Regions at Danfoss, joined G Samuel García Sepúlveda, Constitutional Governor of the State of Nuevo León; First Lady, Mariana Rodríguez Cantú, from AMAR to Nuevo León; Lic Iván Rivas, Secretary of Economy; Lic Emmanuel Loo, Undersecretary of Economy; César Garza, Municipal President of Apodaca; and Julio Molinari, Regional President, Danfoss Latin America, for a special visit to the Danfoss Monterrey factory yesterday.
The Monterrey expansion project will deliver an estimated annual production capacity of 100,000 compressor units used in HVAC applications, 1.6 million pressure sensors, and A2L leak detection sensors for flammable refrigerants to support the refrigerant transition and doubling our capacity for microchannel heat exchangers.

The visit also coincided with the opening of a new Oxxo convenience store on the Danfoss Campus in Monterrey.
The new store is equipped with Danfoss’ most advanced food retail technologies such as our intelligent performance monitoring and control solutions. It serves not only as a functioning convenience store but will also act as a demonstration site for other customers and partners to experience energy efficiency technologies hands-on.
Oxxo is the largest convenience store chain in Mexico and Latin America with more than 22,000 stores, pursuing a dedicated energy efficiency program which helps them to save significant amounts of electricity in their stores. Danfoss said it was proud to be a strong partner with Oxxo on their growth journey.
Danfoss Mexico operations began in 1995 and today Danfoss has production facilities in Monterrey, Reynosa, and Querétaro with 3,200 employees.
