Simple selection and full flexibility

Danfoss' pilot valves mechanically control main valves and can be screwed directly to the main valve without the need for welding, soldering, or separate pilot lines. Small capacities can be controlled directly by the pilot valve without a main valve when installed in the matching CVH housing.

Featuring backwards compatibility, the complete line of pilots for ICS Flexline™ reduces the number of variants from eight to only four, simplifying ordering, inventory management, and storage.

With market trends moving in the direction of higher pressure systems, Danfoss' pilot valves cover all regulation, types, and ranges, including ammonia and CO2 applications.

The range of pilot valves consists of:

  • Constant-pressure pilot valve, type CVP
  • Differential-pressure pilot valve, type CVPP
  • Pressure-operated pilot valve with reference pressure connection, type CVC
  • Electronically operated constant-pressure pilot valve, type CVE
  • Solenoid pilot valve, type EVM (NC)
  • Solenoid pilot valve, type EVM (NO)
  • Housing, type CVH for mounting in external pilot lines

These high quality pilot valves are based on Danfoss' patented membrane package and can either be screwed directly into ICS valves or connected via an external pilot line. Some valves feature surface-treatments (CVC, CVP, and CVPP) or stainless steel construction (CVE) for enhanced durability.

Features and benefits

One platform for all specifications—all pilot valves can be used on all main valve sizes

Several pilot valves can be connected in series or in parallel to provide many functions in the same main valve

Accurate pressure and temperature control

Full backwards compatibility

Compatible with HCFCs, non-flammable HFCs, R-717 (ammonia), and R-744 (CO2); use flammable hydrocarbons is not recommended

ICS, pilot operated servo valve

ICS is a compact, pilot operated servo valve. An ICS valve comprises three main components: a valve body, a function module and a top cover. The function of the ICS valve is defined by the pilot valves connected.
