Thank you for applying for a job with Danfoss. The web site is operated by Danfoss A/S (hereafter called Danfoss) and on behalf of the Danfoss Group companies located worldwide (“Danfoss” or “we”).
By submitting your application and personal data via this website – you submit this information to Danfoss A/S, Nordborgvej 81, DK-6430 Nordborg, Denmark, being the parent company of Danfoss Group. Danfoss A/S is the data controller for the purposes of collection and processing of data in respect of this website. Danfoss A/S is responsible for that all persons or companies having access to or processing your personal data will abide by this policy.
As part of our recruitment process, we will register your application and process the information you have disclosed herein, including personal data, as set out in this information notice.
In this Information Notice you are informed about the processing by Danfoss of your personal data for the purpose of Recruitment. In addition to this information notice/consent form Danfoss Privacy Policy apply.
1. Processing of personal data
In order to evaluate your application, we will process the information, including the personal data, which you have disclosed in your job application and CV. We recommend that you do not disclose sensitive personal data, such as information revealing racial or ethnic origin, religion, trade union membership, sexual orientation, etc. in your application.
Your personal data will be shared and processed by the Danfoss employees responsible for the recruitment process, who may be placed globally within Danfoss. In most cases this includes HR-personnel and the division manager. Depending on the particular job position additional Danfoss employees may be included.
If the job position requires you to complete personality tests or similar you will be informed hereof when we have processed your application. The results of such tests will be treated confidentially but will be included in our evaluation of your application.
2. Storage of your application
If you are offered a position with Danfoss, your application and additional personal data obtained during the recruitment process will become part of your employee file. You will receive separate information regarding the employee file and our processing of your personal data in this respect, as part of the Danfoss on-boarding procedure.
If you are not offered a job, we will store your application and any additional personal data obtained during the recruitment process for a period of:
- 12 months for any person or
- 36 months for any US citizen applying for a job in USA
following our rejection. When you consent to the storage of your personal data, we will be able to take your application into consideration for any future job openings within Danfoss.
3. Disclosure of personal data
In order to obtain the best qualified applicants, we work with various recruitment bureaus or other consultancy bureaus which may assist us in our evaluation of your application as well as help us with the execution and review of personality tests, etc.
4. Collection of personal data from third parties
Your personal data may be processed for conducting background checks. We will not contact any of your current or past employers unless you expressly consent to us directly. If you apply for a job of a particular entrusted position (such as but not limited to finance with access to funds), Danfoss may require a written statement from authorities about your criminal standing, and/or your personal data may be used for a credit review of you and be processed by third party credit agency on behalf of Danfoss, but only when consented to by you and where permitted by applicable law.
5. Your rights
You have a right of access to the personal data processed about you, subject to certain statutory exceptions. Furthermore, you can object to the collection and further processing of your personal data. In addition, you have the right to correct your personal data, if necessary.
Under certain circumstance, you may also request that we provide you with an overview of your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and request us to transmit such data to another data controller.

You are free to withdraw your consent(s) at any time. If you withdraw your consent, Danfoss will stop the processing of your personal data and delete such data, unless we are allowed to continue the processing and storage of your personal data on another legal basis or obligated to do so in order to comply with applicable legislation.

You can also file a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency, Borgergade 28, 5, 1300 København K, or the relevant data protection authorities in your country.
