At the Sustainability Technology Center (STC) in Singapore, we bring live decarbonization solutions to our customers because seeing is believing. Our commitment is to be a gateway for introducing global sustainability solutions to this region. This center will serve as a pivotal platform for global sustainability initiatives such as ProjectZero - whose goal is to achieve a CO2-neutral energy system in Sønderborg by 2029. The Sustainability Technology Center also aims to host an ecosystem of partners to develop local decarbonization solutions for industry-specific challenges.
Finally, this center will function as a hub for competence development and skills enhancement in sustainability solutions through comprehensive training programs and application development initiatives. We empower our partners and customers with the knowledge and capabilities necessary to navigate and implement sustainable practices effectively.

Market and Technology Features
The fight against climate change will either be won - or lost - in cities. Danfoss achieved carbon neutrality at its 250,000 sqm campus in Nordborg in 2022 with the simple recipe of Reduce, Reuse, and Re-source. That means energy efficiency first, then recovering waste energy, then using renewables to power operations. The Sustainability Technology Center in Singapore will help to localize and implement these solutions for tropical cities, particularly in areas of district cooling, HVAC, and data centers.

Roadmap for decarbonizing cities
Buildings, from homes to factories, consume a staggering 28% of global energy, making them the second biggest emitter of CO2. This problem is expected to worsen as rising temperatures increase our reliance on energy for heating and cooling, especially in cities where emissions can be double. Growing populations further complicate the issue, demanding even more energy-hungry buildings.
The battle against climate change will be won – or lost – in cities. A 'Roadmap for decarbonizing cities' already exists that can bridge 50% of the gap in the urban GHG emissions reductions needed for a 1.5°C pathway.
Excess heat
Excess heat can accelerate decarbonization of the industrial sector.
The industrial sector can shift the needle on global energy efficiency by reusing excess heat. Imagine using heat that would normally just disappear! This "recycled heat" could give our economy a shot in the arm and lower energy prices for consumers. Plus, it can replace energy sources like electricity and gas used for heating, making our power grids more stable as we move towards greener energy.
