With 230 service stations around the country, Maxol Group is the leading family-owned oil company in Ireland. Beginning in 2014, Maxol stations underwent a transformation that placed increased focus on the customer experience, offering high-end snack products and convenience shopping to people on the-go. During this transformation, Maxol wanted to upgrade refrigeration, lighting and HVAC to support store ambience, ensure food safety and save on energy bills.

By integrated control of refrigeration, HVAC and lighting, leading French retailer saved 46 % on the energy bill during nighttime and weekends, and 20 % during daytime. The integrated control system has now been implemented in more than 700 stores across France.

To prove the energy saving potential of adaptive technology, Danfoss performed test studies at two leading players in the Ukrainian convenience sector. The tests returned energy savings of up to 34% when replacing conventional control solutions with adaptive technology.
