Download the VLT® Motion Control Tool MCT 10 software to take advantage of its improved condition-based monitoring (CBM) functionality for easier commissioning and evaluation of data.
Danfoss’ VLT® Motion Control Tool MCT 10, an interactive software used to quickly and easily configure and document the settings of AC drives, has been updated. You can now take full benefit of the support of additional sensors and monitoring of electric motors in your CBM setup with the latest drives’ firmware. This means that if you are utilizing condition-based monitoring in your AC drives already, you can now make full use of the CBM functions via your computer.
The VLT® series of drives (VLT® HVAC Drive FC 102, VLT® Refrigeration Drive FC 103, VLT® AQUA Drive FC 202 and VLT® AutomationDrive FC 302) is now embedded with predictive and condition-based maintenance functionality. This allows the use of the drive as a smart sensor to monitor the condition of your motor and application, to detect early issues, and to find solutions before they have an impact on the process. See the table on the left for the key features and benefits gained via condition-based monitoring.
With VLT® Motion Control Tool MCT 10 latest software version (5.21), you can monitor your entire system more effectively and reduce commission time. This results in easier monitoring, faster diagnosis, improved troubleshooting (alarms/warnings) and better preventive maintenance.
Save time on commissioning through guided step-by-step setup, and fast verification of settings and functionality. A control panel simulator has been integrated into the software, so the user can easily try out the programming of the drive in the software tool and follow the individual steps.
Another major new feature in the latest version of MCT 10 is “multiple drive handling”, which makes it possible to copy drive settings easily from a master setting to a large network of connected drives, saving time and cost. The user-friendliness of the software has also been revised and adapted to that of the LCP operating panel. Improved graphical parameters allow for easier interpretation of data and guidance through the setup. A graphical overview of the limits and actual state allow for clearer monitoring and better troubleshooting of system analysis. For example, active parameters can now be highlighted in color to visibly distinguish them from inactive parameters. This makes commissioning with the tool clearer, easier, and faster.
